Customizing a Color Scheme

Sometimes you want to use a particular template, but you would like to change the color scheme. In PowerPoint, each template offers a default color scheme along with alternate color schemes.

To change the color scheme for a specific slide or the whole presentation:

1. Display a Slide pane you would like to change
2. Choose Format > Slide Color Scheme (a dialog box appears with at least 3 schemes)
3. Select one of the schemes
4. Click "Apply" to change the selected slide or "Apply to all" to change the entire presentation
